Where should I keep Propecia?

Propecia should be kept out of the reach of children. It should be kept in a container, which small children cannot open.

Propecia should be stored at room temperature between 15 and 30 degrees C. It should be protected from light, should be kept in a tightly closed container. All the expiry medicines should be thrown away.

Shelf life of the Propecia tablets

All the propecia tablets have their expiry date written on their pack. It is always different for different packets. The shelf life of propecia tablets is around 2 years from the date of manufacture and can differ from pack to pack depending on their manufacturing date.
Propecia is used to prevent the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone in the body. Main use Propecia is for the treatment of male hair loss. Although Propecia is not made for women, still this medicine can cause birth defects for a pregnant lady if she is exposed to it during her pregnancy time. Propecia tablets or finasteride should be never handled by a lady who is pregnant or who may become pregnant. A Propecia tablet is always coated and prevents contact with the active ingredient of this medicine during normal handling. If a female accidentally comes into contact with this propecia tablet from a broken or crushed shell, she should wash that particular area with soap and water at the same time. Women should call their doctor at once if they feel any breast lumps, pain, nipple discharge, or other kind of breast changes.
